He maketh kings

I starred at my screen in disbelief; but remembered folks that this is America we are talking about. America where everything and anything at all is a possibility. Somehow it reminded me of a match I watched many years ago with my late father. It was a match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Kotoko. My dad by the way was a die-hard fan of “Phobia!!!” All I remember from the match the day was that the Kotoko folks were tearing hard at their opponent and were leading Accra Hearts of Oak two to one. In the last minutes of the match however, the Phobians somehow scored a goal, and then, another seconds before the final whistle. I heard the commentator say “It is a g-o-a-l, Phobia won the match, Phobia won the match, I can’t believe it, I cannot believe it!!” Five minutes later, my father still starred at the screen as though he were in a trance. I tapped on his shoulders and with tears running down his face muttered “What just happened?” It was like he was watching magic and was in shock from the delusion of the magician. Back to America, to enjoy the summer, really, you should have gone through the winter, right? I am hopeful that it is in a way probably God letting us have a foretaste of the madness of the times so we will appreciate His goodness when it comes at the appointed time. I see the daughter of the Negro slave, Michelle Obama somehow stage a come back and does it right just like the son and husband of the Negro slave she married. Not only would she be the first female president, she would be the first female and Negro president of America. All is not lost America, this is not the time to despair and throw in the towel. We cannot turn back now instead even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, let us still have a dream… Scripture says that "And he changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding. ( Dn 2: 20-22 ). Good Morning America, going to bed now.
